Zima is Tormod’s dog and is the princess in our house. From day one she have showed us what fits her, and what’s not fitting her. We have now agreed on whats ok to do, and what’s not, even for a princess!

She likes to be outside in all weather. She is with us on hiking and tentingtrips all year round, and have waded many many kilometres in snow. Is it wery cold/danger for injury because of the cold, she gets cloths on, especially on the parts that are exposed.

Zima is always happy, and loves a tug-o-war. She is easy to train and takes things fast. But, like the breed she is, she likes to do things her way. She is trained in bloodtracking, some tricks, skijouring and carries her own backpack in the summertimes.

Zima’s name

It was a P-litter, and Tormod wanted a name on the pedigree that he could use parts of for everyday name. After some searching he found the name ”Penzima” that means ”desire” in swahili. The everyday name then was ”Zima”, that, ironically means winter on russian. A litle african princess in winterland!
